Finally found some time to tie a few flies for my own personal arsenal. All I need now is some frosty nights and some bloody water in the rivers.

Just gorgeous. I must say you gave me some ideas on a trout fly I am working on for megatrout in a lake about 6 hours from my home. These large trout have a tendency to straighten out #4 hooks with longer shanks. I am going to try a few of this 99 Special pattern on tubes and on Waddington 25 mm shanks.

I fished some weighted ones in the spring for big browns. Also a few when striper fishing. The tungsten really gets down quick in rip currents when chasing stripers and browns in the salt.
