First Blue Charm(white wing)

One of Mikes ties that I got from a post by Gary. Need the right color floss and the wing is not the shade I see in most patterns but on a certain Atlantic river this one is a salmon nemesis.

Correction the "collar" is the wrong shade of blue.

Hook- Mustad signature salmon
Tag & rib- silver holo tinsel
Tail- golden pheasant
Body- black seal fur
Wing- mountain goat
Throat- blue hackle fibres
Head- black uni

Variant
Body- mountain goat underfur dubbed
Tag- small gold oval and orange floss
Tail collar-golden saddle hackle
Wing- blue dun mixed with small bit of natural bucktail and blue crystal flash
Throat- blue hen hackle
Head- white Danville flymaster+  looking translucent

They all look good, but the 2nd is my favorite. The sparser tied flies always appeal more to me...

Just finished this one and it is the cleanest one I tied yet that I can say. Not sure if I will be able to tie them when not trying to hold my chair in place the whole time. These have been pounding the ship broadside all night and gradually worsening. Think I'll go wedge myself int bed now .

Yeah, another variation. This is a hot fly on all the rivers home but I have plans for these on just one where it is on fire during the June runs.
