I had no ideas of being able to get this close to copying a pattern I seen in a photo, but nearly nailed it in 10 minutes flat. Yay!!

This was my favorite one today but doesn't come close to the brown on brown.
Silver body with gray tinsel lacquered over. Pale dun wing. Grizzly hackle. Squirrel tail.

Guess this would be an emerger. Did what I could with what I had to copy one in a photo. My continuous bend dry fly hooks not here yet.

Should have aborted when I forgot to tie in wing ahead of herl. Plus it ended up too long a too thick, prompting me to make a bigger mistake. Fishing it anyway.

Thanks Andrew. Took me a while and these flies with the hackle make it a bit easier I'm thinking. If they're not quite what I want they can add some backbone where needed as I roll them on.
