Here are two patterns i like one very easy to tie and the other a little more complex

Edit:  looking at the pictures now it also shows my progression in tying as the Guide fly was one of my earlier ties :)

Thread- 8/0; White for body, fluorescent orange for head
Tag- Fine gold wire    
Tail- Peacock swords       
Rib- Small gold oval tinsel    
Body-  Rear half orange floss, front half peacock herl.  Rear half veiled by same floss as body.
Hackle- Grizzly hen
Wing- Grey fox

Silver Rat

Hook- Mustad 3582 C    
Thread- 8/0; White for body, fluorescent orange for head
Tag- Fine gold wire    
Tail- Golden pheasant crest        
Rib- Small gold oval tinsel    
Body-  Flat silver tinsel
Hackle- Grizzly hen
Wing- Grey fox
