« on: February 04, 01:00PM »
I  changed my  mind.   LOL

I  want to  open this up  to  as a TOTM   for    Nymphs.   I  do well  fishing  nymphs   for trout  ( year  round )   so  lets see what we  have  out there.

Nymph.

As  per the  TOTM  Rules......

1-  Picture must be your own and recent not something off Photobucket  from 2 years ago
2-  Recipe must be included with picture
3-  Entry in before the end of the Month
4-  Only 1  entry / member
5-  Have fun

Chris that one will look like the real thing when its wet. Like to get some of those clear skins and like those continuous bend hooks too.

Finally got sometime back at the bench and thought I would get in on this one.  Hopefully more time to come.

Hook - Allen T301 sz12-2xl
Bead - red brass
Body - antron dub
Rib - brown larva lace with red ultra wire
Tail and Wing - brown goose biots
Thread - black UNI
weighted with lead free wire and I used dental floss over the wire to build up and smooth out the body.
I tied a similar pattern that work great opening week last year.  Difference was only a size 14 hook and left the larva lace tight.  Hopefully this works just as well.

Great flies everyone, hope to catch up with some of you at the mug at least once this year.
