Fan Wing Speckles.

Not a big fan of feather wings, but I do like the look of fanned wings on small trout flies. Didn't turn out as clean this time but thought it looked nice and it sits upright every time.

Well thanks Garhan. It is quite a bit the being creative that keeps me interested . I only tie for myself so it gives me the freedom to do so. I believe in evolution so I am pretty sure all the classics weren't simply created in seven days and thrown in a garden. Lol. Why waste all that paint making prints I'm thinking.

Should have posted this here but forgot about it.
Made this one last night after doing another muddler. Mostly practice for setting wings and this wasn't exactly a cake walk but gotta start somewhere. Not sure if trout even eat butterflies but this drab Monarch sits real pretty wings up every toss. Like to tie them just for tying sake either way.
