Black Wullf
« on: May 15, 08:21AM »
Another dry fly that has done very well for me for trout is the Black Wullf.   As a child when I was teaching myself to fly fish the  help of a  neighbor was instrumental in my not giving up.   He  loved the old faithful wet flies  but this is the dry he loved the most.   He said it  did  not matter what dry fly  you  used  as long as it was black.   I  still laugh at  some of the stories he shared with me as a teen.   I  thought  we  could  fish forever but  he died a few years ago at 54  with Cancer but he  died inside 3  years prior to passing.      Treat every trip as if it  were your  last  boys  as you never  know when it just may be.   RIP  John.

Awesome fly, awesome story. Gotta say though I could really get carried away with living each day like it was my last, lol, but each trip to the water would suit me fine.

Nice ties guys! Funny I think we are all on the same page as I've been on a Wulff tear lately! I saw my first Caddis and Mayfly of the year float by me yesterday, almost dry fly season here!
